Medicines of Ayurveda Ashwagandha powder, Amalaki powder, or Chavanprasha, or any other formulations are mathematical in nature.
What I mean by that is that, Chyavanprasha for example is not a mere mixture of different powders and made into a jam consistency but it has to be made in specific way, by specific methods, with particular ingredients and most important " to be used as stated in the Doshic grid" of that specific kalpa/formulation.
Suppose when I suggest you to consume a specific amount of Ashwagandha powder, at specific times (after lunch or before lunch), it is based on Clients doshic diagnosis and that herb's rasa, veerya and vipaka grid at that specific moment of time.
Thus when some Vaidya suggests you a specific medicine it is not to be used forever unless he tell you so. It fits in to the mathematics of "clients dosha-dooshya pathology set" and "nature of the herb"
Merely using manjistha tablets for improving the skin color or consuming Liv 52 for Liver diseases does not work always and it's results might not be as you desired.
Thus when used properly ( Doing precise Yojana) gives exact , fast and lasting results in Ayurvedic diagnosis and management.
