About

My journey into Ayurveda began with a short course under Vaidya Khadiwale before my bachelor’s degree, which left a lasting impact on me. I later joined RSM’s Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya in Pune, India, where my life transformed. The five-and-a-half-year bachelor’s degree was just the beginning. My real education began during my three-year master's in Ayurvedic Pediatrics. Each patient I treated deepened my understanding of Ayurveda, particularly the three elements: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. I am grateful for the guidance of my mentor, Shaila Dighe Mavshi, and my teachers: (Late) Vaidya Khadiwale, Vaidya Chandrakumar Deshmukh, Vaidya PT Joshi (Nana), Vaidya T Y Swami, Vaidya Anil Kale, Vaidya Sujata Kadam, Vaidya Divakar Juvekar, Vaidya Yogesh Kale, Vaidya Hrishikesh Mhetre, (Late) Vaidya Prakash Mangalasseri, and Dr. Sujata Kadam.

My story of landing in the Ayurveda field is very interesting. I happened to sign up for a short course of Ayurveda under a known Ayurvedic physician-Vaidya Khadiwale , a few years before my bachelor degree. It was an amazing experience for the whole month. This course ended quite fast leaving Ayurveda’s power impact on my subconscious mind. A year later got admission at RSM’s Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya - a well known Ayurvedic Institute from Pune, India and my life changed completely. This five and half years of bachelor degree was just a start. The real education started after my three years of masters in Ayurvedic Pediatrics. With each patient I saw, assessed and diagnosed, I was being reborn in the form of an Ayurveda doctor - A Vaidya! This journey changed my perspective toward things I used to see, touch and feel in a person. I learned the new language of three basic elements of the body - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. I am grateful that I always had a hand to hold in difficult situations. My Guru Shaila Dighe Mavshi showed me the right way. I really want to thank my teachers and mentors. This was not possible without them. (Late) Vaidya Khadiwale, Vaidya Chandrakumar Deshmukh, Vaidya PT Joshi (Nana), Vaidya T Y Swami, Vaidya Anil Kale, Vaidya Sujata Kadam , Vaidya Divakar Juvekar, Vaidya Yogesh Kale, Vaidya Hrishikesh Mhetre, (Late) Vaidya Prakash Mangalasseri and Dr. Sujata Kadam.

about me_03.jpg

My approach towards health, is trifold-Ayurveda, Yoga and Ahar(Food). Ayurveda is responsible for physical health, Yoga handles psychological health whereas right Food choices takes care of both mind and body. The Ayurveda & Yoga sciences talks about health and illness in the language of Dosha - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They are derivatives of five basic elements of nature called ‘Pancha Maha Bhuta’. Basically they are the subtle, continuously flowing energy units, possessing specific attributes. Their balance maintains health and their imbalance leads to disease. Vata dosha can be understood as a group of attributes such as dry, light, cold, rough, subtle, mobile. Pitta dosha is group of attributes oily/unctuous, sharp, hot, light, pungent, flowy and Kapha dosha is a group of attributes such as oily, cold, heavy, slow, smooth, viscous, stable. I diagnose the imbalance of these doshas. I diagnose your problems in the Ayurveda way and suggest solutions in the form of herbs, Panchakarma(detox) therapies, apt yoga exercises and right food choices. This removes your illness from the root and keeps your body & mind in the state of health.
